The course will cover the essentials for safe TIVA practice along with relevant details of algorithms for propofol (Marsh, Schnider and Eleveld) and opioids (Minto and Maitre). It will discuss clinical scenarios including obesity, RSI and the elderly and touch on TIVA for paediatric cases. The course will also cover the basics of pEEG and how to use the common monitors and where their strengths and weaknesses lie. There will be a session describing various clinical scenarios and the corresponding pEEG to facilitate pattern recognition. More

This course has been broadened with a greater emphasis on pEEG. While it will cover TIVA in the morning, the afternoon will be set aside for pEEG. The course builds on the success of its pre-covid predecessor, in a new venue with improved capacity, access and catering.
