EVENT INFORMATION:
We invite anaesthetists of all grades to participate in this regional anaesthesia ultrasound scanning course including:

  • Large group sonoanaotmy demonstrations
  • Small group hands on scanning sessions (max 3 per group)
  • Hands on cadaveric anatomy teaching
  • Needling techniques and visualisation practice
  • Expert discussion
  • The event is accredited by the Royal College of Anaesthetists for 12 CPD credits


AIMS & OBJECTIVES
• Provide an introduction and further practice of ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia
• Background lecture
• Group ultrasound demonstrations followed by small group (max 3 delegates per station) hand on workshops covering all major body regions relative to regional anaesthesia
• Hands on needling workshop
• Cadaveric afternoon workshop involving interactive delegate quiz and faculty teaching

LEARNING OUTCOMES
• Gain understanding of Sonoanatomy for regional anaesthesia
• Understand the practice and processes involved in ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia
• Understand and practice various needling techniques
• Review of cadaveric anatomy of common blocks and relating this to sonoanatomy

Engineers’ House is an impressive Grade II listed conference venue in Bristol, located in the prestigious suburb of Clifton Down.
